Privacy Policy

We built Resuniq to help you land jobs — not to harvest your data. Here's exactly what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect

Account dataWhen you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture via Google OAuth. We never store your Google password.

Resume contentAll resume data you create or import — work history, education, skills, contact details — is stored in your account and is only used to provide the service to you.

Uploaded filesFiles you import (PDF or Word) are processed server-side for text extraction then immediately discarded. We do not persist uploaded files.

Usage dataWe record feature usage, AI model, token counts, estimated cost, success status, and your account identifier to enforce limits, investigate failures, and control service costs. We do not log resume text in these usage records.

Marketing-site analyticsWe record anonymous landing-page events such as section views, scroll milestones, and CTA clicks to understand which information is useful. These events do not contain resume content, an email address, or an advertising identifier.

Extension waitlistIf you ask for an extension launch update, we store the email address you submit and your consent to receive that specific notification. Joining does not opt you into general marketing.

How We Use Your Data

AuthenticationTo verify your identity and maintain your session across devices.

Resume storageTo save and sync your resumes so they're always available when you need them.

AI featuresResume content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to power resume parsing, content suggestions, and ATS scoring. We use the API in a way that does not permit Anthropic to train on your data.

Credit enforcementTo track AI credit usage per account and prevent abuse of the service.

Product improvementTo understand landing-page engagement and improve product explanations and signup paths.

Third-Party Services

Google OAuthHandles sign-in. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Firebase / FirestoreDatabase and authentication infrastructure provided by Google Cloud.

Anthropic Claude APIPowers all AI features. Resume text passed to the API is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. We do not allow Anthropic to use your data for model training.

RazorpayProcesses subscriptions and payments. Resuniq stores payment and subscription identifiers, but never your full card or UPI credentials.

ResendDelivers transactional email and, only after you opt in, product news or progress digests.

Security & Retention

SecurityData is stored in Firebase with per-user access controls. All communication is encrypted in transit via HTTPS. We do not sell your data to third parties — ever.

RetentionAccount content is retained while your account is active. Operational logs are kept only as long as needed for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Extension-waitlist emails are kept until the launch notification is sent or you ask us to remove yours. Payment providers may retain transaction records where required by financial or legal obligations.

Account deletionYou can permanently delete your account in Settings. Resuniq first stops recurring billing, then removes account content, published links, AI usage records, notifications, stored files, and authentication data. You can also contact support for help.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights or ask any privacy-related question, reach us at resuniq@zohomail.in.
